If you're wondering why Dave's picture is tucked way back on this page, here's what he had to say about it:
"I just want to avoid that ego thing where my mug stands out on the main page like the face of Buddha or something: 'Worship me, oh unworthy VW  drivers! Bow to image of he who wears the bright orange T-shirt! Kiss the screen and pray for speedy and merciful repairs oh puny worm...'  You get the idea. On the main page it looks like an icon.  On the regular pages, someone could just pick it out as one of the many worker bees humbly laboring for the good of all mankind.  Ok, that was a little needlessly self-effacing.  Nothing more vomit-inspiring than false humility, eh?"
As owner/operator of Vintage German Motors, David Gilchrist could take a lot of credit for the various classic VWs still motoring around Utah County.  Instead, with a grin and drip of sarcasm he simply sets to work putting you back on the road.   A proud supporter of local VW club, Wasatch Vintage VWs, and a major contributor to the annual Wasatch Classic car show in Provo, Dave makes it easier to live with the "sickness" of loving a classic air-cooler.
